Copley was recalled from AHL Ontario on Saturday.
Copley will occupy the backup role behind David Rittich while Darcy Kuemper (undisclosed) is on IR. The 32-year-old Copley appeared in one game for the Kings this season, allowing two goals on 12 shots in a relief appearance versus Toronto on Oct. 16.
