Melanson scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-4 win over San Diego on Saturday.
Melanson has seen action in just 28 AHL games this season, but he's still managed a career-best nine goals and 19 points. The forward also had five points over 36 NHL contests for the Kraken. Melanson will likely get a chance to compete for a full-time job in Seattle during training camp.
