Cooley (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's matchup against Colorado, per the NHL media site.
Following a 28-game absence, Cooley is set to occupy a second-line role in addition to linking up with the No. 2 power-play unit. Before getting hurt, Cooley didn't have a point in four straight games, but he could still challenge for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds now that his injury is behind him.
