Akhtyamov made five saves on five shots in a relief appearance during Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers.
Akhtyamov logged 10:32 of ice time in his first taste of NHL action. He may head back to the AHL soon. Joseph Woll (lower body) is nearing a return to the lineup and could be available as soon as Tuesday's home contest against Chicago.
