Carlo was acquired by Toronto from Boston on Friday in exchange for Fraser Minten, a conditional 2026 first-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick, per NHL.com.
Carlo has a goal, nine points, 24 PIM, 64 hits and 119 blocks in 63 appearances with Boston in 2024-25. Although he doesn't contribute much offensively, Carlo should help the Maple Leafs out in their own end. He'll likely serve on the second or third pairing as a shutdown defenseman.
