Scott (undisclosed) has been designated as an injured non-roster player by Toronto, SB Nation reports.
The nature of Scott's injury remains a mystery, but once he's healthy, look for him to be assigned to the AHL or ECHL. The 22-year-old netminder spent most of the 2020-21 season with the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL, going 0-1-0 while posting a 4.17 GAA and an .844 save percentage in five appearances.
