Petan signed a one-year contract with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL on Monday, per Tim Hiebert of The Hockey News.
Petan had 15 goals and 48 points in 59 AHL regular-season contests between Hartford and Iowa in 2023-24. The 29-year-old forward has seven tallies and 35 points in 170 career NHL outings. He contributed two assists, 11 shots on goal and five hits in six appearances for Minnesota last campaign.
