Dineen was placed on waivers by the Oilers on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Dineen made just four regular-season appearances for the Oilers last year, and he'll unsurprisingly be left off the team's Opening Night roster for the 2025-26 campaign. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll likely head to AHL Bakersfield.
