Ryan (undisclosed) only attended the late stages of Friday's morning skate and is regarded as day-to-day, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Ryan won't be in the lineup for the Oilers' last preseason game Friday against Vancouver, but he might recover in time for Opening Night versus Winnipeg on Oct. 9. He had five goals and 12 points in 70 regular-season games in 2023-24. He's expected to serve primarily on the fourth line this campaign when the 37-year-old is healthy.
