McKegg signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Oilers on Wednesday.
McKegg put up five points in 43 contests with the Rangers in 2021-22, playing mostly in a fourth-line role. He'll see similar usage in Edmonton, though a drop in ice time is likely given the Oilers' reliance on their top forwards.
