Jones was loaned to AHL Bakersfield on Thursday.
Jones had one goal and one assist in eight games with Edmonton, scoring Monday in a 3-1 win over Winnipeg. There is no word on a replacement, though Kasperi Kapanen (lower body) could return from long-term injured reserve.
