Skinner will defend the road crease in Dallas on Saturday, Oilers play-by-by announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Skinner picked up his first win of the season Tuesday, turning aside 27 shots in a 4-3 win over Philadelphia. The netminder is off to a slow start, as he is 1-2-0 with a 4.43 GAA and an .845 save percentage. The good news is that Skinner got off to an equally bad start in 2023-24, starting the year 1-5-1 with a 3.87 GAA and an .854 save percentage, before rebounding to finish the season with a 36-16-5 mark, a 2.62 GAA and a .905 save percentage. He will face the Stars, who are 4-1-0 to start the season, finding the back of the net on 14 occasions.
