Tarasov will tend the twine at home against Detroit on Wednesday.
Tarasov has seen an increased workload down the stretch in a lost season for the Panthers, supplanting Sergei Bobrovsky as the No. 1 option. The 27-year-old Tarasov has gone 3-4-1 with a 3.54 GAA and .887 save percentage in his last nine appearances. With Bobrovsky's contract set to expire in the offseason, Tarasov is receiving a longer look to see if he's capable of handling a larger role in 2026-27.
