Asplund signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers on Sunday, per PuckPedia.
Asplund did not see any NHL action during the 2023-24 campaign. He scored 44 points in 67 games with AHL Charlotte. Asplund totaled eight points in 46 contests with Buffalo and Nashville during the 2022-23 season. He should continue providing Florida with organizational depth.
