Rust (illness) said that he'll play in Wednesday's game against Buffalo, Dan Potash of SportsNet Pittsburgh reports.
Rust missed two straight practices before returning to the ice for Wednesday's optional session. It doesn't appear as though the ailment will force him to miss any game action. He's been held scoreless over his last five appearances but has recorded a goal, four assists, six blocked shots, five hits and a minus-8 rating over nine outings in November.
