Carter (not injury related) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup with New Jersey.
Carter has missed the Penguins' last three games due to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols, but he returned to practice Friday, skating on the second line with Kasperi Kapanen and Jason Zucker, so he's likely closer to probable than questionable for Saturday's contest at this point. Nonetheless, Carter's status against the Devils likely won't be confirmed until Pittsburgh takes the ice for pregame warmups. The 36-year-old vet has racked up one goal and four points through four games this campaign.
