Bartkowski signed a professional tryout agreement with Pittsburgh on Friday.
Bartkowski has appeared in just three NHL contests over the last three seasons but has suited up in 256 games since the start of the 2010-11 campaign. The veteran blueliner will have a chance to compete for a bottom-pair or seventh defenseman role during training camp.
