Koivunen is back up with the big club as a result of Evgeni Malkin (upper body) being unavailable against the Avalanche on Tuesday. Koivunen is poised to skate in a bottom-six role against the Avs, as he worked on the third line with Ben Kindel and Justin Brazeau during Tuesday's morning skate.
