Forsberg scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist, logged four hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Forsberg got the Predators on the board in the second period and added a helper on Thomas Novak's third-period marker. Nashville remodeled its forward group this offseason, but Forsberg could still be the best scorer on the team. The 30-year-old winger put up a career-high 48 goals and 94 points in 82 regular-season outings last year, and that was with a slightly elevated but reasonable 13.8 shooting percentage.
