Reimer was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Friday.
Reimer's demotion comes as Joonas Korpisalo (foot) was taken off injured reserve in a corresponding move. In his lone NHL appearance this year, the 38-year-old Reimer gave up three goals on eight shots before getting the hook against the Kings on Oct. 26. Barring any more injuries among the Rangers' goalie group, Reimer figures to spend the rest of the year with the Wolf Pack.
