Korpisalo sustained a lower-body injury and has been placed on injured reserve Thursday, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
Korpisalo was labeled week-to-week by the Rangers, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back in action in the short term. Last year, the 32-year-old netminder went 14-9-6 in 31 regular-season outings with a 3.15 GAA, .894 save percentage and one shutout. With Korpisalo on the shelf, Dylan Garand has been called up to serve as the No. 2 option in New York.
