Chiasson signed a professional tryout agreement with the Red Wings, per Ansar Khan of MLive.com on Wednesday.
Chiasson had six goals and nine points in 20 contests with Detroit in 2023-24. He also recorded nine goals and 20 points in 29 AHL outings with Grand Rapids. The 33-year-old should be in the mix for a bottom-six spot.
