Petry was ruled out for the rest of the game early in the third period. It's unclear at what point the defenseman was injured. He logged a hit, one shot on goal and a minus-1 rating in 9:34 of ice time. Albert Johansson could replace Petry in the lineup Saturday versus the Predators, but the Red Wings also have Justin Holl in the AHL as a more experienced option.
