Leonard was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Leonard was an emergency recall Wednesday, but the Red Wings brought up Eduards Tralmaks and Austin Watson under emergency conditions Thursday to replenish their depth. Leonard will remain in the mix for a call-up as long as Detroit's forward situation remains shaky.
