Holl was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.
Holl's promotion doesn't bode well for Jeff Petry's (upper body) availability versus the Rangers on Thursday, though it could be more of a precautionary move. Even if Petry can't play, the 32-year-old Holl is far from guaranteed a spot in the lineup, as both Erik Gustafsson and Albert Johansson will be looking for minutes.
