Husso was placed on waivers Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Husso allowed four goals on 14 shots in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh before being replaced by Cam Talbot early in the second period. If the 29-year-old Husso goes unclaimed from the waiver wire, he could head to AHL Grand Rapids. Detroit still has Talbot and Alex Lyon on the roster to occupy the top two goalie spots.
