Tarasenko (illness) will play in Thursday's matchup with the Rangers, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports.
Tarasenko has managed just one goal through the first three games despite putting eight shots on net and averaging 2:01 of ice time with the man advantage. Last season, the 32-year-old winger racked up 55 points in 76 regular-season games for the Senators and Panthers and should be capable of producing at similar levels in 2024-25.
