Tarasenko scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Penguins.
Tarasenko was able to score in his Detroit debut, burying his first goal of the year at 12:32 of the second period. The 32-year-old winger is on his fifth team in three years after signing a two-year deal with the Red Wings as a free agent. He had 55 points over 76 regular-season games between the Senators and the Panthers last season, so there's still some offense in his game. Tarasenko is in a second-line role to begin 2024-25.
