Wahlberg was recalled from his loan with SHL Malmo and assigned to AHL Rochester on Saturday, per CapFriendly.
Wahlberg had a meager 10 points over 43 contests with the Redhawks during this SHL season. The Swede will now get a taste of the AHL, where he could play in 2024-25 if he isn't loaned back to his native country.
