Byram logged an assist and blocked three shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Devils in Prague.

Byram helped out on Owen Power's third-period goal. In addition to the assist, Byram led the Sabres with 24:52 of ice time, more than Power's 23:27 and Rasmus Dahlin's 22:48. All three blueliners are likely to play a big role this season, but Byram has arguably the most to gain after producing a combined 29 points in 73 appearances between the Avalanche and the Sabres last year. Byram is expected to see more consistent power-play usage in 2024-25, which could help him push well beyond the 30-point mark, assuming he can stay healthy.
