Ostlund has been returned to AHL Rochester, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports Sunday.
Ostlund has been with the Sabres for most of the season, but he has averaged just 12:45 of ice time per night. The 21-year-old has posted six points (three goals, three assists) in 20 games. He'll head to AHL Rochester, where he'll likely play big minutes in all situations and look to add on to his seven points in six AHL games.
