Dahlin (undisclosed), as expected, won't play in Tuesday's preseason clash with Pittsburgh, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
Dahlin was a long shot to appear in Tuesday's tilt after sitting out against the Blue Jackets on Monday. At this point, the team seems to be taking a precautionary approach to the blueliner's recovery timeline. There have been no indications Dahlin won't be ready for Opening Night -- though he will have less time to recover than the rest of the league due to the Sabres' participation in the Global Series in Czechia against New Jersey on Oct. 4/5.
