DeSmith will guard the home net Sunday against the Kraken, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
With Jake Oettinger starting Saturday's home matchup versus the Islanders, DeSmith will make his Dallas debut against Seattle in the second leg of a back-to-back. After going 12-9-6 in 29 regular-season appearances with Vancouver in 2023-24, the 33-year-old DeSmith is expected to back up Oettinger this season.
