Poirier posted a 16-save shutout in AHL Texas' 2-0 win over Chicago in Game 1 on Tuesday.
Poirier gave Texas a good start in the division semifinals with his third career AHL playoff shutout. He went 27-19-6 with a 2.61 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 52 regular-season outings. He will likely continue to see the bulk of the starts as long as Texas' postseason run is active.
