Middleton (illness) won't play against San Jose on Tuesday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Middleton didn't participate in Tuesday's morning skate and will miss his second straight game. He has contributed one assist, 14 shots on goal, 29 blocked shots and 26 hits across 16 appearances this season. Due to Middleton's absence, David Jiricek will be in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup against the Sharks.
