Spurgeon aggravated his lower-body injury during Tuesday's loss to Calgary, according to Joe Smith of The Athletic.
Spurgeon missed seven games with the original injury in December and returned to play in three games before he suffered the injury once again. Spurgeon was placed on injured reserve Wednesday and will miss at least a week of action. Spurgeon has five assists in 16 games this season.
