Boyd was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Monday.
After being summoned from the minors, Boyd was a healthy scratch in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to Winnipeg. With Joel Eriksson Ek (nose) expected to return Tuesday versus the Blues, Boyd's presence on the roster is no longer necessary.
