He's more of a defensive forward for the Oilers, and it's unlikely he'll score enough to be considered in the vast majority of fantasy formats.

  Brown scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers. Brown tied the game at 2-2 with a second-period tally. The winger has added seven shots on net over four contests this season while playing in a third-line role. Brown put up 12 points in 71 regular-season outings in 2023-24, though he had produced at least 28 points in six straight years from 2016-17 to 2021-22 before an ACL injury ended his 2022-23 campaign early. He may not reach those heights again, but Brown can be a decent middle-six forward who sticks in the lineup thanks to his defensive contributions.

Brown will take a significant pay cut from the one-year, $4 million deal he played on last season in order to remain with the Oilers. For the Stanley Cup contenders, the 30-year-old winger certainly offers plenty of value as a bottom-six penalty killer, but he won't provide much in terms of fantasy production considering he managed just 12 points in 71 regular-season contests last year.
