Soderblom stopped 21 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks. The Blackhawks took a 2-1 lead early in the second period, but Soderblom allowed goals to Alex Killorn and Leo Carlsson in the third. This was just the second time in six outings Soderblom has allowed more than two goals, but he has a 1-4-1 record to show for it. He's also maintained a 2.36 GAA and a .926 save percentage, but he'll need help from the team in front of him to collect wins. Petr Mrazek (personal) is away from the Blackhawks, and if he's not back in time for Thursday's game versus the Panthers, Soderblom would likely draw that extremely challenging start.

Soderblom will protect the home net versus Anaheim on Tuesday, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio. Soderblom made 38 saves in a 4-2 win over the Ducks on Nov. 3. He has a 1-3-1 record with a 2.22 GAA and a .934 save percentage across five appearances this season. Anaheim is coming off a 4-2 victory over Dallas on Monday and ranks 27th in the league with 2.53 goals per game in 2024-25. Drew Commesso will be the backup goalie because Petr Mrazek (personal) is away from the team.

Soderblom stopped 29 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Canucks. The last two goals were empty-netters. The final score looks bad, but Soderblom kept the Blackhawks in it when he was on the ice. Despite a strong effort, he dropped to 1-3-1 with a 2.22 GAA and a .934 save percentage through five outings this season. Laurent Brossoit's recovery from knee surgery has taken much longer than anticipated, but the Blackhawks haven't needed to rush him back thanks to Soderblom's strong play in the backup role. The team returns home to face the Ducks on Tuesday, though it'll likely be Petr Mrazek between the pipes for that contest.

Soderblom is expected to start on the road against Vancouver on Saturday, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times. Soderblom has a 1-2-1 record, 2.27 GAA and .933 save percentage in four appearances this season. While those are great numbers, he remains firmly behind Petr Mrazek, who has logged 13 outings in 2024-25, on the depth chart. The Canucks have an 8-4-3 record and rank 16th offensively with 3.13 goals per game.

Soderblom allowed two goals on 39 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Stars. The third goal was an empty-netter. The Blackhawks didn't play all that well, but Soderblom did his best to keep things competitive. While he's won just one of his four starts so far, the 25-year-old netminder has allowed a total of nine goals on 135 shots, good for a .933 save percentage. He looks much more prepared for the NHL in 2024-25 than he did in either of the previous two seasons, and that's good news with Laurent Brossoit (knee) not yet close to a return. Soderblom remains in the backup role, and it'll likely be Petr Mrazek who gets the nod versus the Wild on Sunday, though Soderblom's strong play could earn him more looks in the near future.
