He's been rewarded for his strong effort -- the 23-year-old was moved up to the top pairing and saw a season-high 22:48 of ice time in Sunday's win. The blueliner has four helpers, 11 shots on net, 11 PIM, 12 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 15 contests. He could continue to see a larger role until Jake Walman (upper body) returns.

He's added 10 shots on net, 11 PIM, 12 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating while filling a bottom-four role. Thrun has been scratched once, but he should be in the lineup at least as long as Jake Walman (upper body) is contending with an injury. Thrun's lack of power-play time is likely to limit his fantasy value to the deepest of formats.

The 23-year-old defenseman has played on the third pairing primarily, and while he saw 1:50 of power-play time Monday, that was due to Jack Thompson being a healthy scratch. Thrun's defense hasn't exactly been great -- he's posted a minus-9 rating with nine PIM, 12 blocked shots, seven hits and seven shots on net so far. Without consistent power-play time, the American blueliner likely won't be an option in fantasy.

Thrun's offense has come to life late in the season -- he has a goal and four assists over his last four contests. The 23-year-old defenseman is at three goals, seven helpers, 47 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 48 appearances. While he hasn't done a lot, he's seeing significant minutes and some power-play time that gives him upside in deeper fantasy formats over the final week of the campaign.
