Dostal stopped 25 of 28 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken. Dostal was playing a strong game until early in the third period. He allowed goals to Andre Burakovsky and Brandon Montour that came just 24 seconds apart, and that lapse led to the Kraken's victory. This was Dostal's fifth regulation loss in his last six outings, and he's allowed at least three goals in all five defeats in that span. The 24-year-old is now at a 5-7-2 record with a 2.72 GAA and a .922 save percentage over 14 starts. He's already been ceding playing time to John Gibson, and it wouldn't be shocking to see Gibson start Wednesday's rematch in Seattle.

Dostal will patrol the home crease during Monday's game against Seattle, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports. Dostal's playing time has decreased recently, as he's started in just one of the Ducks' last four games. However, he broke a losing streak in his start against Dallas on Nov. 18, turning aside 34 of 36 shots (.944 save percentage). After sitting out the last two games, Dostal will return to the net against the Kraken, who rank 20th in the league averaging 2.76 goals per game to begin the season.

Dostal stopped 34 of 36 shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Stars. Dostal earned his first win since Oct. 29, when he stopped 40 of 41 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Islanders. Between those wins, the 24-year-old Czech netminder had gone 0-4-1 with a 3.79 GAA and a disappointing .895 save percentage. The Ducks are playing in the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Blackhawks, so Dostal is likely to be rested in favor of John Gibson.

Dostal will be between the pipes for Monday's road matchup versus the Stars. Dostal will make his 13th start of the season Monday -- he has a 4-6-2 record, .922 save percentage and 2.75 GAA through 12 outings. The 24-year-old is 0-4-1 over his last five starts, and he'll face a Dallas club that's scored 3.38 goals per game through 16 contests.

Dostal stopped 36 of 39 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights. Dostal allowed a goal in each period, and the Ducks weren't quite able to keep pace. This was his fifth straight loss, the last four of which have been in regulation. The 24-year-old netminder is now at a 4-6-2 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .922 save percentage through 12 starts. Dostal's skid puts him at risk of dropping into a timeshare with John Gibson for playing time in goal. The Ducks' next game is at home Friday versus the Red Wings.
