Silovs stopped 29 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers. The Canucks scored 34 seconds into the game, but they lost the lead less than two minutes later and never pulled ahead again. Silovs was unable to build momentum after an excellent performance in a win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. The 23-year-old netminder is down to a 1-3-1 record with a 3.91 GAA and an .857 save percentage over six appearances. The Canucks are set to start a six-game road trip Saturday in Ottawa. They have one back-to-back set during their travels with a visit to Boston next Tuesday followed by a stop in Pittsburgh next Wednesday, so Silovs' next start is likely to be in one of those two contests.

Silovs will be between the pipes for Tuesday's home tilt versus the Rangers, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Silovs had his best outing of the season Saturday against Chicago -- he turned aside 28 of 29 shots en route to a 4-1 victory. The 23-year-old will have a tough matchup in the Rangers, a club that ranks sixth in the NHL with 3.56 goals per game through 16 contests. Through five appearances, Silovs owns a 1-2-1 record, .850 save percentage and 3.86 GAA.

Silovs stopped 28 of 29 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. It was a closer game than the final score suggests, with Silovs doing his part to keep it that way until the Canucks' offense stepped up. Silovs earned his first win in five appearances this season (1-2-1), and he's allowed 16 goals on 107 shots for an .850 save percentage. Kevin Lankinen has started to falter under a heavy workload, so getting Silovs playing better could help the Canucks stay afloat until Thatcher Demko (knee) can play. It'll likely be Lankinen in goal against one of his former teams, the Predators, in Sunday's home contest.

Silovs was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Monday. Silovs was sent down Sunday but will rejoin the Canucks following a brief stint in the minors. The 23-year-old has struggled over four appearances with Vancouver this year, posting an 0-2-1 record, 4.76 GAA and .808 save percentage.

Silovs was assigned to AHL Abbotsford on Sunday. Silovs struggled to open the season with Vancouver, going 0-2-1 with an ugly .808 save percentage. The 23-year-old netminder will look to get on track in the AHL. Ty Young was recalled in a corresponding move to back up Kevin Lankinen while Thatcher Demko (knee) remains sidelined.
