This was Brown's second helper in as many games after opening the postseason with no points in three outings. Brown snapped his seven-game point drought when he earned the primary helper on Carl Grundstrom's empty-net goal to seal this win. Through four playoff outings, Brown's contributed 12 shots on net and 13 hits from a third-line role. The 37-year-old winger will retire at the end of the Kings' postseason run, though he'll likely do everything he can to keep it going as long as possible.

Brown is expected to play in his final career regular-season game Thursday in Vancouver before trying to lead the Kings through one more postseason run. The 37-year-old winger has spent his entire 18-year career with Los Angeles after the team selected him 13th overall in the 2003 NHL Draft. He's racked up 325 goals and 712 points over his career with another 47 postseason points. Brown won a pair of Stanley Cups as well as the Mark Messier award during his impressive NHL career.

Brown is expected to be rested for Wednesday's game versus the Kraken, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports. The Kings clinched a playoff spot Tuesday, and it appears they'll take advantage of the decreased pressure to rest some veterans. The 37-year-old Brown is expected to be one of five regulars out of the lineup Wednesday.

Brown scored a goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets turned over the puck early in the first period, and Brown buried a pass from Blake Lizotte for the opening goal. This was Brown's third point in as many games since he returned from a four-week absence due to an upper-body injury. The veteran winger is up to nine goals, 28 points, 141 shots on net, 84 hits and a minus-4 rating through 60 outings.
