Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Gets tryout from Vegas
Tanner Pearson signed a professional tryout agreement with the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.Pearson spent last season with the Canadiens, racking up 13 points in 54 contests. He missed a large chunk of time with an upper-body injury and was also a healthy scratch down the stretch. Injuries have taken significant portions of his last three seasons, but he's healthy and could push for a bottom-six role with the Golden Knights, who are currently expected to lean on young forwards in those spots.

Canadiens' Tanner Pearson: Added to IR
Tanner Pearson (upper body) was put on injured reserve Wednesday. The move is presumably retroactive to Saturday, which is when Pearson last played, but the 31-year-old was already projected to miss 4-6 weeks because of the injury, so putting him on the injured reserve list doesn't impact his timetable. It frees a roster spot for Montreal, though, which the Montreal Canadiens have used to summon Emil Heineman from AHL Laval. Pearson has four goals and eight points in 27 outings this season.
