Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Struggles continue
Tristan Jarry allowed three goals in a 3-2 overtime loss to Calgary on Tuesday.Jarry has allowed at least three goals in each of his five starts this season and is 1-2-1 with a 4.72 goals-against average and an .863 save percentage overall. He was especially bad on the OT winner where he slid far out of his crease, allowing Brayden Point to simply walk around the net and stuff the puck behind him. Jarry recently returned from a stint in the AHL, but he continues to struggle. Bench him until he can get his game together.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Gives up five goals Friday
Tristan Jarry stopped 33 of 38 shots in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Blue Jackets. The sixth goal was an empty-netter in the third period.Jarry was making his first appearance for the Pittsburgh Penguins since Oct. 16, when he gave up three goals on five shots before being pulled just past the midway mark of the first period versus Buffalo. Friday's performance probably didn't go the way he would've wanted, either. Even though Jarry gained some confidence following a two-week stint in the minors with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, his struggles at the NHL level are too evident to overlook. Through four outings this season, Jarry has gone 1-2-0 with a 5.37 GAA and a woeful .847 save percentage.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Sent to the minors
Tristan Jarry was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on a conditioning loan Saturday. The temporary demotion comes as a bit of a surprise as the Pittsburgh Penguins only gave Jarry three games this campaign after he was the team's No. 1 goaltender the past three seasons. Granted, Jarry got off to a horrible start, giving up 12 goals on 73 shots (.836 save percentage), but the Penguins can't afford to be patient with him following a 3-5-1 to start to 2024-25. Pittsburgh will rely on Alex Nedeljkovic and Joel Blomqvist in Jarry's absence.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Not on road trip
Tristan Jarry is back in Pittsburgh to work on his form, Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports Thursday.Jarry went 1-1-0 with 12 goals allowed on 73 shots (.836 save percentage) over his first three games of the year. With the 29-year-old back in Pittsburgh, it's safe to say he won't play Friday in Edmonton or Saturday in Vancouver, but he could get a chance to get back on track as soon as Tuesday's game versus the Wild. Jarry will have his work cut out for him in regards to regaining playing time, as the Pittsburgh Penguins still have Alex Nedeljkovic and Joel Blomqvist on the NHL roster.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Gets early hook Wednesday
Tristan Jarry gave up three goals on five shots before being replaced by Joel Blomqvist midway through the first period in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Sabres. The Pittsburgh Penguins were able to climb out of the hole their starting goalie dug for them, but the tone for his performance was set when Tage Thompson scored on a wraparound 43 seconds into the game after Jarry misplayed the puck behind the net. The 29-year-old has an ugly 5.45 GAA and .833 save percentage through his first three appearances this season, and while a trade seems unlikely given the three years and $16.125 million left on his contract after 2024-25, Jarry's role could be in jeopardy -- especially once Alex Nedeljkovic (lower body) returns from IR.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: First goalie off Wednesday
Tristan Jarry was the first goalie to leave the ice Wednesday, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus Buffalo.Jarry was fairly steady in his last start, stopping 24 of 27 shots (.889 save percentage) in a winning effort over the Habs on Monday. Still, it's been a less-than-stellar start to the year for the 29-year-old netminder. If he stumbles against the Sabres, it could open the door for Joel Blomqvist to get the nod versus Carolina on Friday. Jarry's hold on the No. 1 job will become even more tenuous once Alex Nedeljkovic (lower body) returns to action.
