Ilya Bryzgalov: Contemplating return to NHL
Ilya Bryzgalov is considering a return to the NHL, the Courier-Post reports.Bryzgalov's name might ring a bell as a goaltender infamous for his eye-popping nine-year, $51 million contract signed with the Flyers in 2011 -- he would be bought out two seasons later and subsequently have NHL stints with the Oilers, Wild, and Ducks. Over the course of his 12-year career, Bryzgalov owns a 221-162-54 record, 2.58 GAA and .912 save percentage. The free agent didn't play at all last season, but reportedly has stayed in shape and is itching to return after drawing inspiration from watching the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
