The European Tour rolls on this week with a stop at the Doha Golf Club for the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Thorbjorn Olesen is the Vegas favorite at 14/1. He's followed closely by Andy Sullivan at 18/1 and Chris Wood at 20/1.

Last week at the NBO Oman Open, it predicted that Jorge Campillo would finish in the top five despite being a 33/1 long shot. The result: Campillo shot a 66 in the third round and a 68 in the fourth to surge to a fourth-place finish.

Now that the field for the Qatar Masters is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times and the results were surprising.

One golfer the model loves this week: Thomas Detry, a 28/1 long shot.

Detry finished in the top 10 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January, and although he hasn't made it that far up the leaderboard since, he has been a consistent player with no finish worse than 31st this year and very few rounds over 70.

Even though Vegas doesn't see him as a top-five contender in the Qatar Masters, the model predicts he'll make a serious run at the title. He's a value pick you should be all over this week.

One surprise: Shubhankar Sharma, who has the seventh-best odds entering the 2018 Qatar Masters, finishes outside the top 15. That's surprising because he won the Maybank Championship earlier this year and currently sits atop the Race to Dubai. Don't be fooled by his recent success; he's somebody to steer clear of this week.

Also, three additional golfers with odds of 40/1 or longer are positioning themselves to make a serious run at the title. Anyone who bets on these underdogs could hit it big.
