The 2024 Paris Olympics men's golf tournament will begin on Thursday at Le Golf National and Xander Schauffele will be hoping to continue a dream season. Considered by many to be one of the best players in the world without a major championship victory heading into 2024, Schauffele won the 2024 PGA Championship and the 2024 Open Championship. Now he'll go to the 2024 Summer Games with an opportunity to win back-to-back gold medals after his triumph over Rory Sabbatini in Tokyo. The first tee times come at 3 a.m. ET.

Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark will be the four representatives of Team USA at the 2024 Olympics. Scheffler is the +300 favorite (risk $100 to win $300), while Schauffele is priced at +525, Morikawa is at +1100 and Clark is a +5000 longshot in the 2024 Paris Olympics golf odds. Before locking in your 2024 Olympics Men's Golf picks or Team USA props, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters -- its third Masters in a row -- and this year's PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now with the Olympics Men's Golf 2024 field set for Paris, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

Top 2024 Team USA golf predictions for the Olympics

One surprise: Schauffele, the defending gold medalist and one of the top favorites, does not repeat as the champion this weekend. It's been a dominant season for American golf but all four members of Team USA will be at a strategic disadvantage this week. None of the four were on the 2018 Ryder Cup team that played at Le Golf National, while four members of Team Europe will be in the Olympic men's golf field and more than two dozen other players who have played the course competitively on the DP World Tour.

Schauffele has won a pair of major championships this season and he's currently the No. 2 player in the Official World Golf Ranking following his win at the 2024 Open Championship. However, he'll have his work cut out against a field full of the world's top players that features a wealth of experience at Le Golf National.

The model has also examined where Scheffler finishes. The No. 1-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking is having the best season of his career, winning six times on the PGA Tour and capturing a second green jacket at the 2024 Masters. He's now a 12-time winner and all 12 of those victories have come over the last 30 months.

However, he's coming off a final-round 72 at the Open Championship that led to him falling out of contention and finishing in a tie for seventh. Now he'll take on Le Golf National for the first time competitively in his career against a field where nearly half of the players have direct course knowledge as a result of playing in either the Open de France or the 2018 Ryder Cup. The model just locked in its Scottie Scheffler Olympics picks here.
