The BMW Championship is well underway from St. Louis. The tournament is back at Bellerive Country Club, hosting a PGA Tour event for the first time since the 2018 PGA Championship. The top 50 players this season are all battling it out for the final 30 spots in the Tour Championship next week in Atlanta.
This year's U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark holds the 36-hold lead at 12-under. He has yet to make a bogey this week, the first time he's done so over the first 36 holes in a tournament in his career. He has plenty of competition vying for the title this weekend, including Gary Woodland at 11 under and J.J. Spaun at 10 under after Round 2.
The bubble battle is sure to heat up this weekend with players like Woodland needing to maintain his strong play to make it to Atlanta. Woodland started the week No. 31 in the Fedex Cup standings and seems on his way to making the trip to Atlanta, but players like Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and more will need to really turn it up over the final two rounds to make a push for the top 30.
