2026 Zurich Classic leaderboard: Live updates, analysis and highlights from Round 4

The 2026 Zurich Classic enters its final round with Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick holding a four-shot lead after setting a record by posting a 57 on Moving Day. With a bevy of talented teams chasing the leaders, it will take a supreme effort from the Fitzpatricks to pull through with the win, which would mark the second straight and third of the season for Matt Fitzpatrick, who is in the midst of a career campaign.

The teams of Austin Eckroat and Davis Thompson, along with Alex Smalley and Hayden Springer, are closest to the brothers, though Doug Ghim and Jeffrey Kang are also within five shots of the leader as Sunday action begins at TPC Louisiana. Will the Fitzpatricks continue dominating over the weekend, or will there be a massive comeback in New Orleans?

Fitzpatricks turn with two-stroke lead

The Norwegians just keep on coming as Ventura and Reitan have made another birdie on the par-4 11th to reach 7 under on their round and 30 under for the tournament. That puts them two strokes behind the Fitzpatricks as Matt continues to provide some timely shots. He made a 15-foot birdie on No. 8 to push the team to 32 under and had a nifty chip on the par-3 9th to save par.

Here come the Norwegians!

All of a sudden the lead is just three, and it is not Austin Eckroat and Davis Thompson who are in hot pursuit but rather Kris Ventura and Kristoffer Reitan. Reitan just holed out with a wedge from the middle of the fairway on No. 8 for a rare eagle-2 to get the duo to 28 under and 5 (!) under through their first eight holes. They've played their last four holes in 4 under.

Fitzpatricks regain four-stroke lead

After seeing a birdie by Thompson and Eckroat on No. 1, Alex and Matt Fitzpatrick respond with one of their own on the par-5 2nd. They push the lead out to 31 under and four clear of their playing partners who have since followed up an opening birdie with two straight pars. The Fitzpatrick look extremely comfortable out there this afternoon and if they keep on taking advantage of the par 5s, something special is needed from chasers.

Thompson and Eckroat cut into the lead

That is how you start the day! Davis Thompson zips a wedge back inside 10 feet, and Austin Eckroat rattles it home to get that team to 27 under and three behind the Fitzpatrick brothers who carded a conventional par on the par-4 1st. An interesting aspect to keep an eye on is Alex teeing off on three of the four par 3s and hitting the second into the par-5 18th.

Final pairing about to get started

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick are walking to the first tee where Alex looks to win his first PGA Tour tournament and in doing so capture a PGA Tour card. He ranks No. 7 in the Race to Dubai and is line to earn status by year end, but a victory today would expedite the process greatly. At 30 under, they hold a four-stroke lead, but with a soft golf course presenting itself there are scores to be had. A few groups are 3 under through their first five holes showing an early charge is possible.

Final round underway

The final round is finally underway with some birdies flying early in the alternate shot format. While the Fitzpatricks' 57 in Round 3 stole the show, let us not forget that the duo fired the lowest alternate shot score on Friday with a 7-under 65. That is flat out impressive. Karl Vilips and Michael Thorbjornsen were second lowest with a 66 but have since fallen out of immediate contention meaning those scores from 68 to 70 which the majority shot may not be good enough with the Fitzpatrick holding a four-stroke lead.
